Musical Kansas City

Though the dates for this year’s MAC Annual Conference aren’t brimming with lots of live music in and around Kansas City, here are a few events and some places you can look to see if anything strikes your musical fancy:

Shopping, Dining and Entertainment Districts

Country Club Plaza – Known as Kansas City’s Premiere shopping, dining and entertainment district. This 15-block district is home to over 150 shops and dozens of fine restaurants and is perfect for an evening stroll before or after dinner. This gives you a chance to do a little premiere people watching too!

Westport – More than 150 years ago historic Westport was the jumping off place for the Western frontier. Today it is a fusion of local bars and restaurants, shops, and night time hot spots sure to keep you entertained.

Power and Light District – Kansas City’s newest dining, entertainment and shopping district! Power and Light is located in the heart of downtown and offers more than 50 unique and captivating restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment venues.


Kaleidoscope is a magical art studio where children can be creative and feel good about their own special ideas. Creating with bows, cardboard, jazzy junk, making puzzles and painting with melted crayons are just a few of the fun things to do. Independent art sessions for children ages 5-12 and family art Sessions for children of all ages! Kaleidoscope is free as a public service by Hallmark. Call for session times.
